GETTING THERE
The island is accessible by private boats, small planes, and by ferry in the summer months. For winter’s intrepid snowbirds, snowmobiles are another form of transporation.

Shop on Main Street at toy stores, jewelry shops, and souvenir shops. And be sure to sample the tasty fudge.
Culture
For chills and thrills, stop by the Haunted Theatre, a haunted house in an old theatre on Main Street open between May and October. Peruse Mackinac Island’s Little Gallery or Mackinac Island’s Art Museum where they offer art classes.
Recreation
Golf on one of the island’s two courses, Jewel Golf Course and Wawashkamo Golf Club. And don’t forget to take a tour of the island via a horse-drawn carriage!

Enjoy fine dining at the hotels and restaurants or burgers at local pubs.
