Following the success of Island Hopping in 2018, Amanda Lindroth is back with even more of her coveted airy, relaxed aesthetic with the release of a new volume: Island Dreaming.

Amanda, a former writer for Women’s Wear Daily and former head of PR at Gucci in London, now resides in the Bahamas in Lyford Cay, Nassau, where she launched her own design firm in 2010. Since, she has opened two more firms in Palm Beach, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina, where she shares her tropical style and breezy elegance with clients around the world.

From striking prints and rattan seating to canopied beds and straw matting, Amanda invites you to peek at 20 of her recent projects, spanning grand houses and cozy cottages across the Bahamas, New York, and Florida. Though Amanda’s style remains uniquely hers, it’s even richer and more whimsical than ever across the book’s 336 colorful pages.

Perhaps what makes the book most unique are the personal anecdotes woven throughout, which are as much about the emotional impact of a home as they are about decorating. Following the passing of her husband, Orjan, Amanda recounts her path of resilience and the ultimate decision to build a new house inspired by her late husband’s beloved childhood home.

Whether you’re looking for a summer refresh, inspiration for livening up your home with playful patterns and bold décor, or a beautifully told story of love and perseverance, Island Dreaming provides an unparalleled view on dreamy, island-inspired living.
