The Chanticleer Inn was originally built in 1927 as the private home of Richard and Annalee Watkins. Situated directly across the street from Rock City, the Watkins decided to rent rooms to tourists, and in 1930, they opened Chanticleer Bed & Breakfast. Today, the inn is owned and operated by Robert and Audrey Hart, and its 17 English-style cottages
offer amenities not even dreamed of back in 1930. Home-cooked breakfasts await guests each morning, and a lap in the pool is just a step from your door. Be sure to explore the comfort and charm of these cottages when you are in the area.
