Take advantage of sunny summer days with a red-and-white tablescape that’s beyond sweet.

Pull your table’s color palette together with carefully selected blooms that range in size, shape, and texture for a display that will rival those Fourth of July fireworks. And don’t overlook the floral vessel as an opportunity to add a little something extra, as with this cane-wrapped vase that pairs nicely with the nearby rattan placemats.

From embroidered cocktail napkins and patterned tumblers to the beverages themselves, there are ample opportunities for delightful moments even before the food is set out—but charming place settings complete with hand-written name cards and fun favors will keep anticipation for the main event high.

Whether before or after the meal, guests will appreciate a comfy spot for catching up and soaking in the sun. Adding a few fresh-cut flowers and inviting pillows will help encourage them to linger.

When it comes time for guests to leave, send them on their way with something sweet to remember the day by. Homemade jams make a wonderful treat, but even store-bought is charming when embellished with a personalized tag.
