
David’s symbols were derived from things he’s loved for years, like birds. “My whole life, as far back as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to things of the natural world. And I love pairing those to juxtapose them with things you don’t normally see them with,” he says. “I love juxtaposition, because that can startle somebody. And once you grab that attention you engage them, and then you make them get involved in the thought process.”
