From comfy quilts to flickering candles, make the most of this cozy season with classic style sure to chase away winter’s chill.

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays behind us, a quieter stage of winter sets in. Before you begin wistfully dreaming of spring, pause to appreciate the gift of this season made for slowing down, staying warm, and savoring the comforts of home during long, cold nights. Instantly enrich year-round décor like small houseplants by pairing them with soft linens and simple glowing candles.

Is there a more cherished winter pastime than indulging in a steaming cup of tea by a crackling fire? Break out antique transferware to enhance the nostalgia of the occasion, and don’t forget a few plaid flannel throws for utmost relaxation.

Whether it’s on a sofa, a chaise longue, or a favorite chair, there’s something about curling up in a cozy nook that calls to us this time of year. A couple of plush pillows boost the attraction, making it even easier to lose yourself in a book all afternoon.

In the kitchen and beyond, winter whites are always a welcome addition to seasonal vignettes. Echoing blankets of snow on display outside windows, the shade imbues an easy elegance as well as a tone of serenity.
