
Jan had the builder remove the framing for the wall between the kitchen and family room, creating a more open floor plan. “The working area of the kitchen was the size of a postage stamp,” Jan says, “so we expanded it by doing away with the closed-in eating area. Now there’s space for several people to move around.” With a full-size dining room around the corner she was assured there would be plenty of room for the family meals.
