The Smiths’ kitchen is a mix of both Ben and Ginny. Ben is a craftsman and avid hunter while Ginny is an antiques dealer with a love for all things French. The couple had been toying with the idea of redoing their tiny kitchen space to better accommodate their family of three small boys, but it was Ginny who finally pulled the trigger. “My husband went hunting, and he came home and saw that I had taken a crow bar and a sledgehammer and gutted the whole kitchen,” she recalls with a laugh. They later knocked down the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room to maximize their space.
